How it all started...

Anyone who has participated in a sport they love knows that it is hard to end a season and walk away. In the last ten to fifteen years travel teams, recreational teams, summer camps, and clinics have taken on a different role in an athlete's world. To a certain extent, there isn't a season anymore. But, there are only two questions "Where and what time?" Former generations of athletes used to participate in pick-up games at a local park, or a coincidental group run with a neighborhood friend. Our most recent generation of athletes has developed this idea into a more frequent and formal opportunity.

Radar Running Camp came to life in 2016. A few of Coach Germann's runners approached him after attending a running camp and said “Coach, we should have one for our team.” The next summer Radar Running Camp was born.  The first year he had only 9 athletes, then  Radar grew to 12 the following year. After that, the word started to spread.  Radar Running Camp now takes on between 40-50 athletes each summer.  Radar Running is a phenomenal program due to the diversity of athletes and abilities ranging from brand new runners to soccer, volleyball, tennis, baseball, and lacrosse players looking for a conditioning opportunity for their upcoming season, to our top varsity cross country and track athletes.
